The IT services sector in Calgary that is served by TeraGo is about to enter an era where their service provider hands the steering wheel to a new director. The appointment of the new director, due to happen during their next annual general get together will see three high achievers in the IT services sector go toe to toe for the enviable position. This addition will bring the total numbers of directors for the company to ten, from a previous nine. We looked into the three candidates and have the following to reveal.
A Ciciretto – this veteran in the IT industry comes packing 25 years of experience working with big corporations offering cloud services and even small organizations of the same calibre. The previous CEO of Cogeco Peer1 for seven successful years brings a lot of knowledge of running call hp printer support companies. Other companies he worked for in the past include, in no chronological order; Bell Nexxia as the snr v-president of sales and ops, TVN, where he was a founding president and he is a member of the PEO (professional engineers of Ontario). Some of the areas in IT Service Calgary will benefit from his appointment include; telecoms and cloud services – focusing on business development strategies, marketing, finance, datacenter and networks management as well as customer focused quality services delivery. In addition to this strong background, the Masters in Science degree he holds from a New York University along with Engineering credentials from Ryerson makes him a sound fit for the job.
G Sherlock – who is a Chartered Accountant and CMA with a B Admin from the University of Regina and also has over two decades working in executive positions. The thrives in bringing companies from near ruin to success as he did with Peer 1 Hosting. He also worked in other sectors besides that of IT, as VP at B.C Hydro & Power Authority. His experience reviving companies and being of strategic solid capability has had him speaking around the world concerning topics from company risk management, planning viable businesses and costing based on events.
M Gerber – this gentleman has twenty five years and more working in the computing industry, from IT infrastructure to mobile related computing lines. At the time of writing this, he currently holds the position of CEO at Rohini, where he is also a board member of the company responsible for research and development of mobile computing solutions for generations to come. He is also a board member at Digital Fortress, Pearson Packaging. He has been CEO at five more large companies and comes holding Engineering credentials from New York University as well as a MBA from Hofstra University.
The competition is set and we are in for a close vote as all candidates have proven their ability in managing IT services Calgary will need well into the future. Other elections will be held during the AGM for re appointing of current directors as regulation requires.
