How to improve your organic search ranking in 7 simple steps?

If you’re in the market to boost your organic search ranking, you may find yourself overwhelmed
by the sheer number of tools and tactics available to you. While it can be tempting to try
everything out there and find yourself spinning your wheels or getting bogged down, it can be
just as easy to identify a few simple tweaks that will have a huge impact on your rankings (and
get more eyes on your content!). I’ve put together this step guide to improving your organic
search ranking based on my experience as an SEO specialist and blogger. I hope it helps!

1) Start with content
1. Create an optimized title and meta description for each page on the site that is relevant to the
topic of your pages.
2. Add a unique, human-readable meta description for each page on the site that is relevant to
the topic of your pages.
3. Fill out all necessary keywords and make sure they are spelled correctly, and provide
appropriate synonyms if possible
4. Include keywords throughout the content of each page
5. Optimize images by adding ALT tags and captions
6. Organize your website structure so that it’s easy to navigate
7. Use social media as part of your online marketing campaign
8. Conduct keyword research using Google AdWords Keyword Tool
9. Research high-volume keyword phrases
10. Perform monthly audits 11th Verify any broken links or redirect 12th Build backlinks 13th
Monitor rankings 14th Measure conversion rates 15th A/B test different versions of landing
pages 16th Experiment with new features

2) Link building
One of the most essential aspects of improving your organic search rankings is building links.
This is especially true for sites with low domain authority. Link building can be time-consuming,
but there are many ways you can do it easily. For example, if you have a blog, you could look
for other blogs that publish content related to what you’re writing about and share them on
social media or email them with a link back to your site.

3) Backlinks are an investment
Backlinks are one of the most important factors to consider when optimizing a website for a
specific keyword. They’re also one of the easiest ways to increase your visibility on Google and
Bing. A backlink is an endorsement from another site that links back to you, which helps tell
Google and Bing that you’re an authoritative source for a topic. When other sites link back to
your website, it’s like they’re saying Hey Google and Bing, this person has lots of good content
about this topic!

4) Credibility is key
Credibility is key when it comes to SEO. One of the most important ways that you can build
credibility with a potential customer is by having many high-quality links coming to your website.
The more quality links you have, the higher you will rank on Google’s search engine.

5) Mobile friendliness
1. Optimize your site for mobile. If you do not have a mobile-optimized site, it will be difficult for
users to find the information they are looking for on a smaller screen and keep them from
visiting your page.
2. Make sure that you provide unique content on every page of your site that is relevant to what
is being searched.
3. Keep an eye out for duplicate or similar content that might be lowering the rank of pages that
are more relevant and valuable.

6) Social sharing signals
1. Include the keywords you want to rank for in the title tag of your page, as well as the URL of
that page. For example, if you are writing about how to make eggs and would like it to show up
for how to make hard-boiled eggs and how long it takes for an egg to boil, include those two
keywords in both places.

7) Domain authority
There are a number of different things you can do to increase the likelihood that Google will
rank your site higher. A few of the most important are: optimizing for relevance, following SEO
best practices, providing fresh content on a regular basis, building links from relevant sources,
and monitoring and responding to comments or criticism.

Conclusion:
An effective, natural search ranking can make the difference between thousands of visitors to
your website and nobody visiting at all. Unfortunately, many small businesses don’t know how to
effectively optimize their websites for organic search, but with the right process and the right
guidance, this isn’t as intimidating as it may seem at first glance.
